Orem, Utah

A warm family home where your loved one belongs

The Hatch family welcomes adults with disabilities into everyday family life, a private basement suite of their own, with 24/7 support just upstairs.

Meet the Hatch Family

A loving family in Orem, ready to open our home with care, patience, and joy.

We serve as a host family for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a work-from-home dad, I offer a consistent, day-to-day presence, someone is nearly always here.

Our family genuinely enjoys people. We love real friendships, shared meals, game nights, and helping each other grow. Our four kids (ages 7, 5, 3, and 1½) are outgoing, friendly, and quick to welcome someone new.

We have completed and passed all required background checks, and we are ready to partner with licensed providers for training and onboarding.

Common Questions

The things families usually ask us first.

Who is a good fit for your home?

High-functioning men with intellectual or developmental disabilities who want independence within a family setting. The private basement suite gives residents their own bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, and living area, with family support right upstairs.

What does daily life look like?

Ordinary, in the best way: home-cooked meals, game nights, BBQs in the enclosed backyard, trips to the park, and walks in Provo Canyon. Residents join in as much or as little as they like.

What support do you provide?

Help with meal preparation, medication management, finances, and daily living skills. As a work-from-home dad, I'm present and available throughout the day.

How do services and funding work?

We partner with licensed provider agencies for training and onboarding, and we coordinate with your case manager so your loved one's existing services and funding carry over smoothly. We're happy to talk through the details with your provider.

Can we visit before deciding?

Absolutely, we encourage it. Come meet the family, see the suite, and share a meal. A short trial stay is also an option before making any commitment.

Are you background checked?

Yes. Our family has completed and passed all required background checks and is ready to partner with licensed providers for training and onboarding.

How do I refer a family?

Call or email us anytime, or simply share this page. If someone you know is looking for a host home in Utah County, we'd love to talk.
